Fog Machine Hire – Haze and Fog Make Your Lighting Visible

No fog, no light beams: it takes haze to make beams, colours and contours visible in the room – which is why a fog machine is part of almost every show. At photon you can hire the right unit for the job: fine, even haze for concerts and galas, thick fog for effects and parties.

We advise you on the choice of unit, fluid and placement – and take the venue into account, so the effect works without getting in the way. Collect it yourself in Wesseling near Cologne or have it delivered together with your lighting and sound equipment.

• Fluid plus advice: You get the right fluid from us along with the machine – matched to the unit and the application.

What does it cost to hire a fog machine?

Compact battery fog machines are available from €20 per rental day, hazers such as the Hazebase Base*Hazer*Pro from €35, stage fog machines from €40 and touring hazers from €240. All daily rates are listed transparently in the rental shop. All prices are plus VAT; self-collectors (dry hire) get attractive discounts.

Hazer or fog machine – which do I need?

A hazer produces a fine, even haze that makes light beams visible – ideal for concerts and galas. A fog machine produces dense fog for targeted effects. For most shows we recommend a hazer.

What about smoke detectors at the venue?

An important point: haze and fog can trigger optical smoke detectors. Clear their use with the venue in advance – we advise you on the choice of unit, quantity and detector isolation/fire watch, so that nothing goes wrong.

Does it come with fluid?

You can get the right fluid directly from us – matched to the unit, so that the effect and hang time are right.

Does photon also deliver?

Yes – especially together with lighting and sound equipment. Individual units are easiest to collect from Wesseling near Cologne.

Can the machine be controlled together with the lighting?

Yes – our units are DMX-capable and can be integrated into the lighting control, so the fog hits exactly the right moment in the music or show.

How long is my quote valid?

Our quotes are non-binding and prices are calculated daily. You have 10 days to confirm informally – a short e-mail is enough. The booking becomes binding with our order confirmation. If availability has changed in the meantime, we adjust the quote first – so you never confirm blindly.

Are battery-powered fog machines or low fog available to hire?

Yes: the Hazebase Piccola is a compact fog machine with a rechargeable battery, needs no mains connection and costs from €20 per rental day, plus VAT. It is designed for clubs, small stages and parties and is suitable for places without a power supply. A low-fog machine is not listed in the photon rental shop. Important whenever fog is used: haze and fog can trigger optical smoke detectors, so their use should be cleared with the venue in advance.
