Great sound is no accident: whether it is a concert, conference, gala or town festival, at photon you hire sound equipment that is at home on professional productions. Our rental stock includes line arrays and subwoofers from dB Technologies (VIO series), Yamaha digital consoles, Shure Axient wireless systems and Shure PSM 1000 in-ear monitoring, plus microphones for speech, vocals and instruments.
You can hire individual components as well as complete PA systems including stands, cabling and system processing – fully configured and tuned. On request, we provide experienced sound engineers for the FOH and monitor mix. Since 1995 we have been providing sound for events in the Rhineland and across Germany from our base in Wesseling near Cologne.
dB Technologies VIO X205 line array modules from €30/day, VIO X15 top speakers from €40/day and VIO S118R subwoofers from €55/day – scalable from club gigs to open-air shows.
From the compact Yamaha DM3, from €81/day, to the Yamaha DM7, from €420/day, plus Rio stage boxes and Dante networking for clean signal paths.
Shure Axient Digital, quad receivers from €150/day, and Shure PSM 1000 in-ear systems, receivers from €16.70/day – coordinated and interference-free, even with high channel counts.
Pioneer DJM-900 NXS2 from €80/day, players and complete DJ setups for clubs, galas and corporate parties.
Small active speakers are available from €8 per hire day, line array modules from €30 and digital consoles such as the Yamaha DM3 from €81. We price complete PA packages individually according to audience size – all individual prices are listed transparently in the rental shop. All prices are plus VAT; self-collectors (dry hire) receive attractive discounts.
As a rule of thumb: for speech with up to 100 people, two top speakers are enough; for live music with 200 people or more, we recommend a line array with subwoofers. Tell us the venue, number of attendees and programme – we will configure the right system.

Yes – daily in the Cologne/Bonn/Düsseldorf area with our own vehicles, nationwide by arrangement. You can also collect from Wesseling near Cologne.
If the equipment is available, even at a day’s notice – one phone call is enough and we check availability straight away.
Yes: PA, console, microphones, monitoring, cabling and power – as a matched complete package, with setup and operation by our engineers on request.
Our quotes are non-binding and prices are calculated daily. You have 10 days to confirm informally – a short e-mail is enough. The booking becomes binding with our order confirmation. If availability has changed in the meantime, we adjust the quote first – so you never confirm blindly.
For speeches and simple playback, a pre-configured system is often enough; for bands or a demanding programme, we recommend a sound engineer at FOH. The sound engineers at photon take care of setup, system tuning, FOH and monitor mix – from conferences to festival stages. photon charges for the sound engineer separately from the equipment hire. If you operate the equipment yourself, you hire it without staff as dry hire; self-collectors receive discounts on the daily rental rate.
