At photon you hire sound reinforcement that matches the size of the room and the programme: compact active systems for speeches and background music, top speakers with subwoofers for parties and live music, scalable line arrays for concerts and open-air events.
Every PA arrives ready to play: with stands or rigging, tidy cabling, a matching mixing desk and microphones. Collect small sets yourself in Wesseling near Cologne, or have them delivered, set up and tuned – with a sound engineer for the entire event if you wish. We have been providing sound for events in the Rhineland and across Germany since 1995.
For speeches, receptions and background music – small active speakers are available in the rental shop from €8 per day, quick to set up and easy to operate.

Small active speakers start from €8 per day, line array modules from €30, top speakers from €40 and subwoofers from €55 – equipment hire only, plus VAT. Complete systems (more floor space, a live band, many presenters) are quoted per project – all individual prices are listed transparently in the rental shop.
Yes. As a self-collector (dry hire) you benefit from attractive discounts on the daily rate. If you would rather have everything from a single source, book the system including delivery, setup and teardown.
As a rule of thumb: for speech with up to 100 people, two top speakers are enough; for parties from around 100 guests we recommend adding subwoofers; for live music from 200 people, a line array. Describe your event to us – we will size the system to match.
Yes – stands, cabling, desk and microphones are part of the set. You get a short briefing on collection or during setup.
Yes. Our sound engineers handle setup, system tuning and the mix during the event – from a talk to a live band.
Yes – daily in the Cologne/Bonn/Düsseldorf area with our own vehicles, across Germany by arrangement. You can collect small sets yourself in Wesseling near Cologne.
If the equipment is available, even at a day’s notice – one call is enough and we check immediately.
Our quotes are non-binding and prices are calculated daily. You have 10 days to confirm informally – a short e-mail is enough. The booking becomes binding with our order confirmation. If availability has changed in the meantime, we adjust the quote first – so you never confirm blindly.
For around 500 people, photon recommends a compact line array solution with subwoofers; photon recommends a line array even for live music with 200 people or more. The rental shop lists the components individually: line array modules from €30, top speakers from €40 and subwoofers from €55 per day, each plus VAT. photon calculates the exact system design for each project based on the room, number of people and programme.
