Berlin thrives on diversity – concerts, congresses, culture and club culture packed into one city. Professional sound reinforcement ensures every format gets the sound it deserves, from an intimate reading to a sold-out arena.
photon has been working nationwide since 1995 and brings that experience to the capital. We design systems that deliver intelligible speech and powerful music – tailored to the venue and the programme.
In Berlin and the surrounding area, we provide sound for events of every kind:
That way you get a sound solution in Berlin that does justice to every format in the capital.
For Berlin, photon arrives with its own well-maintained equipment and plans delivery and set-up so that everything in the capital is in place right on schedule. Our experience with concerts, congresses and corporate events makes us a reliable sound partner here too – including on-site engineer support.
Which sound system do I need for my event in Berlin?
That depends on the venue, audience size and programme – from a pair of active PA speakers for small rooms to a scaled line array for large halls and arenas. photon sizes the sound reinforcement (including TW AUDiO) according to room acoustics and audience depth – not wattage.
What does it cost to hire sound technology in Berlin?
Active speakers such as the Behringer B205D start from €8 per rental day, tops such as the dB Technologies VIO X15 from €46.10 – equipment hire only, plus VAT. Complete PA systems with line array, subwoofers, monitoring and support are quoted per project; hire follows a tiered rate: the longer the period, the more attractive the daily rate. For self-collection (dry hire) there are attractive discounts – a short enquiry is all it takes for a concrete quote.
Can I hire just the equipment in Berlin – or does an engineer come along?
Both. For equipment-only hire, you can book the gear directly in our rental shop for self-set-up; on request, photon delivers a complete package with an experienced sound engineer at FOH – you decide how much support you need.
Which microphones and wireless systems do you use?
photon plans wireless systems for interference-free operation using professional Shure systems (including Axient) – from individual presenter microphones to multichannel stage and conference set-ups, especially given Berlin's densely occupied frequencies.
Do you offer in-ear monitoring for bands?
Yes. photon provides digital Yamaha mixing consoles, in-ear systems (including Shure PSM) and stage monitors for live acts and touring – including a separate monitor mix.
What matters for open-air sound reinforcement in Berlin?
Without reflective walls you need more power, often delay speakers, protection against wind and weather, and compliance with noise regulations – for instance on the city's large open-air sites. photon plans outdoor sound reinforcement including level and coverage concepts.
How early should I enquire about sound technology in Berlin?
For larger events we recommend several weeks' lead time, especially during the busy festival and congress season. Short-notice requests are often still possible, subject to availability.
Do you deliver to Berlin – and can I collect the equipment myself?
photon travels to Berlin with its own well-maintained equipment, sets everything up and provides on-site support. Self-collection from our warehouse in Wesseling near Cologne is also possible; nationwide productions are standard for us.
How long is my quote valid?
Our quotes are generally non-binding and prices are calculated on a day-to-day basis. You have 10 days to confirm a quote informally – a short email is enough. The booking becomes binding with our order confirmation. If stock has changed in the meantime, we adjust the quote first – so you never confirm blindly.
Whether it's a gala or a club concert – photon brings the right sound technology to Berlin. Tell us about your project and request your quote.
How we plan and support sound reinforcement, microphones and monitoring is explained on our sound technology page.
