EVENTS & OCCASIONS · photon EVENT TECHNOLOGY
Start and finish need a voice: photon supplies PA systems, hosting technology and stages for cycling races, marathons and running events – weatherproof, with independent power supply and technicians who know how a sports event runs. Since 1995, from Wesseling near Cologne.
At races and runs, the technology in the start and finish area makes the atmosphere: hosting that announces the field, music that carries the finish, and a stage for the award ceremony and supporting programme. Add PA points along the course, technology for the riders' area and, on request, a big screen for times and standings.
We have accompanied a state-wide cycling tour through North Rhine-Westphalian cities every year since 2022 with stage and sound technology – and our PA also stood on the course of a Cologne city marathon. For indoor tournaments and sports galas see sports event equipment.
Compact, weatherproof PA with a wireless microphone for hosting and music – such assignments start at about €500 at photon, based on real project experience.
Stage, PA, hosting and lighting setup for the supporting programme of a race day: real productions start from €4,000 per event day – including early-morning setup and teardown after the award ceremony.
For race series and multi-day tours we plan logistics, crew and equipment across all stops – quoted per route and duration, with one fixed contact for all dates.
From our real projects on race courses: compact setups for finish area or hosting point from about €500, complete day productions with stage, PA and support from €4,000 per stage or event day. After your enquiry you receive a fixed quote – individual prices are public in the rental shop.
Send us the date, course and planned programme via our enquiry form – we get back to you with a concrete proposal and a fixed price. On event day we set up before the road closure, keep the technology running during the race and dismantle quickly after the award ceremony so the road reopens fast.

What makes sense are PA points where people gather: start, finish, refreshment and cheering points. We plan the points with you along the course – continuous coverage of the whole route is almost never needed.
We bring the power supply where no connection exists and route cables so runners, bikes and emergency lanes stay clear.
We set up before the closure, keep escape and rescue routes clear and supply the structural documentation for stages and trusses for your permit.
Yes – equipment, crew and logistics across all stages from a single source; we have accompanied a state-wide cycling tour this way every year since 2022.
Give your race a voice: send us the date, course and programme – you will quickly receive a concrete proposal with a fixed price.
