01. The challenge

Die Content Convention Mainz is Germany's leading platform for exchange between broadcasters, platform operators, politicians and start-ups with the aim of actively shaping the future of media. As a hybrid event, it combines over 1,200 invited guests on site with a range of more than 300,000 participants in the live stream. The particular challenge was to technically implement an event of this size in such a way that it met both the demands of a top-class live audience and the requirements of professional broadcast production.

Characterized by interdisciplinary exchange and content diversity, cutting-edge production technologies should seamlessly merge with the content requirements of the event. At the same time, it was necessary to create a visual identity that conveys the character of the content convention and clearly positions the event. The content convention was hosted by Rhineland-Palatinate State Chancellery in collaboration with Inventive, a leading foresight studio for media innovation.

02. Our solution

As Full service provider of event technology Did we take over the Design, concept and complete technical implementation the Content Convention. The central element was a 9 × 3 meter LED wall with 3 mm pixel pitch, which served as the visual backbone of the event. It was supplemented by the consistent use of modern LED headlights, which enabled flexible and energy-efficient lighting design.

A distinctive design element was the specially developed Light cloud from Astera NYX Bulbs , which was integrated into the event concept in terms of content and decisively shaped the visual identity of the convention. In addition to lighting design, we were responsible for Rigging calculations, that Light and TV lighting design, the Sound for all speakers, the Stage construction including carpet and floor coverings as well as the Coordination of all trades from lighting, sound and video technology.

03. The result

The entire production process — from Logistics, assembly and rehearsal in one day up to Show and dismantling the following day — was entirely our responsibility. Through precise planning, well-rehearsed processes and close coordination of all involved trades, a smooth, efficient and, above all, Broadcasting process at the highest technical level be guaranteed.

The result was a technically and visually convincing hybrid event that underscored the content convention's content requirements and reached both the local audience and the viewers via live stream. The production is an example of how complex event formats can be successfully implemented with a clear concept, technical precision and design standards.
